Job SummaryThe Business Development Manager at WuXi AppTec drives sales growth by coordinating closely with the company's leadership. This role focuses on penetrating assigned customers with significant growth opportunities, as assigned by management. The Manager, Business Development, reports to the Executive Director, Business Development, and is responsible for closing and implementing growth opportunities with companies in the region. The primary method of interacting with customers and prospects is through face-to-face meetings, with a focus on achieving assigned sales and profit goals.Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:

• Identify key decision-makers for WuXi AppTec services and establish potential contact.
• Qualify leads and present opportunities to the technical team and WuXi AppTec's senior leadership.
• Facilitate business meetings with WuXi AppTec, ensuring proper agendas, attendees, and follow-up.
• Engage in daily outreach to potential clients to generate leads.
• Maintain a professional image of WuXi AppTec as a solutions provider with clearly articulated messages.
• Support proposal writing with the technical team, emphasizing consistency and quality of the proposal.
• Support proposal negotiation to close contracts as defined by the supervisor.
• Serve as the point of contact for WuXi AppTec and customers, ensuring communication channels and proactively identifying areas of growth opportunity.
• Represent WuXi AppTec effectively at various meetings and conferences, including event planning and execution.
• Collaborate with senior leadership during crisis management.
• Maintain excellent relationships with internal business partners at WuXi AppTec.
• Facilitate customer travel to China.
• Develop effective communication skills both internally and externally to ensure teamwork and achieve common goals across the Discovery Services unit.RequirementsRequirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, preferably in biology, with 3+ years of industrial experience and at least one year of business development experience preferred.
• Experience in CRO is a plus/preferred.Independence and AccountabilityIndependence and Accountability:
