salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience,
skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and
certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at

value with benefits.Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in grant writing and/or a
fundraising environment in a university, library, research
institution or other organization of equivalent complexity with a
proven track record of success with foundation and organization
funders. (Required)
- Experience with the grant/proposal writing process.
(Required)
- Experience conceptualizing, planning and implementing special
events. (Required)
- Experience with Blackbaud CRM or equivalent development
database and the use of databases to generate reports is preferred.

- Understanding of philanthropic principles, values and practices
with general knowledge of terms and resources specific to
foundation and organization fundraising. (Required)
- Ability to use resources to discover and compile information
about prospects/current funders and affiliated individuals; ability
to synthesize gathered information/concepts and clearly convey
value to funders. (Required)
- Excellent oral communication skills to collect and convey
information with accuracy, diplomacy and tact; ability to
persuasively express the mission of the university and the
fundraising goals of the campus, especially as they relate to the
funding priorities of UCLA Library. (Required)
- Excellent written communication skills; ability to write and
edit proposals, case statements, letters of inquiry, reports and
related business correspondence; ability to prepare other
clear/compelling cultivation/solicitation materials.

- Well-developed interpersonal skills to work collaboratively
with a wide variety of internal/external constituents, maintaining
composure under pressure, and to work as part of a large team to
achieve common goals. (Required)
- Detail oriented with ability to take initiative, work equally
well independently and as part of a team and accept responsibility;
adept at setting priorities and managing workflow to fulfill
objectives and meet goals in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of donor files and other
information; impeccable integrity and discretion in dealing with
donors, alumni, students, administrators and colleagues.

- Ability to run, analyze and summarize computer generated
reports; analyze data effectively evaluate progress; recognize
areas of weakness and recommend strategies that achieve stated
objectives. (Required)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications
as well as familiarity with other software, database, spreadsheet,
scheduling and email applications; willingness to learn new
programs and applications in a prompt and efficient manner.
